Fractional Laser Treatment

Palomar developed and patented Fractional Photothermolysis to create a revolutionary treatment: soft tissue coagulation and non-ablative skin resurfacing with high efficacy and no downtime.

The Palomar Lux 1540 Fractional™ Laser Handpiece delivers light in an array of high precision microbeams. These microbeams create narrow, deep columns of tissue coagulation that penetrate well below the epidermis and into the dermis, while sparing the tissue surrounding the columns from damage.

Deep Penetration for Best Results

The Palomar Lux 1540 microbeams penetrate deeper (up to 1 mm) than other devices. These deep columns of coagulated tissue initiate a natural healing process that accelerates the formation of new, healthy tissue. Coagulated cellular debris is expelled as the skin is resurfaced.

Throughout the process, the integrity of the stratum corneum is maintained, which protects the tissue from infection as it heals. The result: faster dermal remodeling and skin resurfacing.

High Efficacy, No Downtime

The Palomar Lux 1540 offers greater energy per microbeam, and greater depth of penetration (up to 1 mm) than any competing device. This stimulates quick healing within the surrounding deep tissue for the most effective deep corrections and long-term dermal remodeling obtainable. In addition, the Lux 1440 delivers uniform microbeam penetration, a consistency that can’t be matched by systems that use a scanning approach.

Speed and Convenience

The Palomar Lux 1540 does not require anesthesia, dye application, or an elaborate cooling process.

Safety and Comfort

The Palomar Lux 1540 delivers its microbeams in one short pulse at a time with active contact cooling. Lux 1540 treatments are significantly more comfortable than systems that deliver beams over longer periods of time. It is Dr. Zanelli himself who administers ALL Lux 1540 Laser treatments at the Z Skin Center for Aesthetic & Medical Dermatology.

+Lux 1540 is FDA cleared for soft tissue coagulation. 510(k) submitted for skin resurfacing.
